In this post, I will share my Rankmath Settings that I’ve been using over the past years.
RankMath Functions I use
- 404 Monitor
- Image SEO
- Instant Indexing (with Google)
- Redirections
- Schema (Structured Data)
- Sitemap (very important)
- Video Sitemap (if you use videos)
- WooCommerce (if you run WooCommerce)
Make sure to disable modules like Analytics and SEO Analyzer, as these options might consume CPU.
Only enable what you use.
If you don’t use it → disable it.
Why? It saves resources (speeds up your website)
General Settings
Links
Strip Category Base: ON
Redirect Attachments: ON
Redirect Orphan Attachments: HOMEPAGE
Nofollow External Links: OFF
Nofollow Image File Links: OFF
Open External Links in New Tab/Window: ON
Breadcrumbs
Enable breadcrumbs function: ON
Separator Character: » (Choose whatever you want here)
Images
Add missing ALT attributes ON
Add alt attributes for images without alt attributes automatically. The attribute is dynamically applied when the content is displayed, and the stored content is not changed.
Leave other settings as they are.
WooCommerce
Remove base OFF
Remove prefix from category URL. OFF
Remove parent slugs from category URL. OFF
Remove WooCommerce generator tag from the source code.Remove Schema Markup on Shop Archives ON
Remove Schema Markup Data from WooCommerce Shop archive pages. ON
404 Monitor
Redirections
Titles & Meta
Global Meta
Post Formats
Posts
Pages
Products
Categories
Tags
Sitemap Settings
Links per Sitemap: 200
Images in Sitemaps: ON
Include Featured Images: ON
Make sure to include everything important - you can leave tags off.

During our tests, we found that it worked on any type of website with great results and created this plugin for testing.
If you are not sure whether you want to be using this or not, please stop reading and don’t proceed further. Though Indexing API isn’t against Google AdSense Policy and Terms of Service, we do not recommend using it on money websites. Please proceed at your own risk.
We understand this is not for everyone 🙂

I also checked the Rankmath settings of Onlinemediamasters (The Ideal Rank Math Settings (2022 Complete Tutorial)) - which are good. I used mostly the same settings as he did.
